Where the Wild Things Are
It's rare that I get really, really excited about a movie months before its release. But my gallery manager Laura Beth sent me an email yesterday with a link to this preview. I had no idea that a movie was being made based on this book, and already I'm looking forward to October when this will be released.
To me, "Where the Wild Things Are" is just one of those books that IS childhood. I bet there are many more of you reading this that feel that way as well. So I'm excited because I know Spike Jonze will make the story come to life with an incredible visual journey. I'm excited to see the characters from the book speak, and sing, and dance, and play. And I'm excited to let go for a few hours in October and remember what is what like when I was a boy. And any chance we get to really remember or youth is a chance I think we all should grab hold of -- and certainly never forget.
Hope to see you all at the cineplex in October!
