I hate that I missed these guys in Oxford last week! Our new gallery manager Laura Beth made it over though, and said the show was incredible. I'm a little jealous actually.

I love this southern-country-rock-folkish sound. I don't really care what genre a band is in, just so long as the music is GOOD.

And isn't that really what art is about in general? That it's good? And makes you think? And feel?

These guys certainly do that. And it sure doesn't hurt that they have Mississippi ties!

I recently spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon with Lucy Kate and bryant at their first birthday party. Hard to believe these two are a year old already! They're getting so big!

Momma Lesley had a candy store themed birthday party planned -- I'm sure all that sugar was a big hit with the other parents! It was such a beautiful day spent with some wonderful people. Thank you guys for letting me be there.

I'm catching up! Lots of editing going on here -- busy time of year! (Thank you all!)

Here are a few images from Aishihai and James' engagement session a couple of weeks ago. We spent a wonderful afternoon just exploring the backroads around the Delta, stopping wherever things looked interesting.

The wedding will be here in Cleveland in a couple of weeks, and I'm excited to visit with them again. It'll be the first wedding I've photographed in my home town in about 3 or 4 years! I'm looking forward to that as well.

It's been a couple of weeks since I spent the day with Brittany, Darryl, their family and friends in Pope, Mississippi. The wedding was so much fun! And what a cool little town Pope is. griffin house - the guy that says goodbye to you is outta his mind

My photographer friends Vicki and Tom Rulli introduced me to the music of Griffin House a few years ago. My ipod is filled with his work now and I listen to him non-stop. I've yet to catch a live show, but I'm really hoping to do that this summer. I was a little bummed though, because he was just at the House of Blues in New Orleans as part of the Ten out of Tenn tour and I couldn't get down there. But I REALLY want to catch this show.

This is a recent release of his. You might have caught it on CMT or VH1. But keep an eye out for him. My gut says we'll be hearing more and more in the next few years!
