It's been a few weeks, but I went to Clarksdale recently to create some images of Warner.  We had a great time following him around the house, and then headed outside to let him explore even more.  He was very curious and I got a nice little workout following him around, but it was well worth it.

I played basketball last night.  It was in the same gym where I played junior high ball over twenty years ago.  My team wasn’t very good when I was a kid, and we weren't any better as adults.

It's been a few weeks now, but I wanted to post a few images from Nancy and Roger's wedding.  I was assisted at this wedding by a great photographer from Indianola named Mickey Mallett.

These images are of my youngest niece, Lila.

I call her the Dancing Queen because she dances as much -- if not more -- than almost any child I've ever met.  She is also the songwriter in our family. Jamie and I spent a little time with our nieces and nephews recently.  I was excited about the three or four days we would be with them, because I really wanted to try a few things photographically and they always make great subjects.  I wanted to go beyond just making "pretty pictures" and did my best to push myself to not only create photos of the kids, but  to create feeling as well.

Maggie and Anthony are marrying June 14, so we met recently for their engagement session.

As I was driving up to Tunica, Mississippi to meet them, I began brainstorming on things we could do.  I always go into a shoot with a pretty good idea of how I want to shape things, but I also like to leave myself a bit of flexibility in case inspiration strikes.
